Our Verdict:Klarstein Maischfest Electric Beer Brewing System
Crisp and clean. This is what we saw upon receiving this Klarstein Maischfest All-In-One brewing systems.
Its body is all stainless steel with a few black accents here and there which looks good on an industrial or a functional kitchen like mine.
Coming in with 25L, 30L, and 35L variants, I got the middle one, the 30L, to test out.
It’s wrapped securely which was a good start.
The Klarstein Maischfest is your basic, comfortable brewing device mash tun that you’ll be able to use intuitively without any instructions.
Actually, it really didn’t come with one, so…
It’s a very simple 5 piece complete package, or so its page says. Well, let’s check.
Aside from the big double-walled vessel, it also comes with a solid wort chiller, a filter insert, the removable 30L brewing kettle, a drip ring, and also a built-in tap.
Now that’s quite convenient for its price!
It also has a digital LCD display and touch panel with which you can adjust and monitor your mash’s temperature.
After sanitizing the equipment, I had it all set up in less than 10 minutes. So this is not only space-efficient but time-saver as well!
Sometimes you just want something simple without all that jazz, and if you prefer to homebrew that way, this Klarstein Maischfest beer brewing device is for you.
I admit…
..the brewing process was slow to come to a boil at first. I set it up to 216 degrees and it took some time for it to really kick in but once it does, everything was as peachy as it can be. There’s also a 1000 and 1600 watts switch if full control is what you’re looking for.
Everything in this 5 piece complete set, from the vessel, to the mash kettle is made from 304- stainless steel, so it’s cleaner, non-corrosive, and easier to clean.
Let me tell you….
Having a 304-stainless steel equipment is investing in something that you know will last for quite some time as this grade doesn’t really disintegrate. And it’s a bonus too that a high-grade stainless steel brewing kettle will keep your beverages from having those nasty metal flavors!
Anyway, it took only 20 minutes for the 6 gallons of wort to boil which was a great plus, as well.
The drain tap proved really useful when it’s time to transfer the wort from the fermentation tank to the fermentors.
The beer is now fermenting happily in the basement and all I can say is homebrewing beer in this unit is as fast as ordering it. It’s fun too and easy to use, having fewer buttons to worry about.
Most of all, it’s really affordable, it’s a wonder how this large double-walled stainless monster can be this seamless to use.
